Helps stabilize the holster, perfect size to thread through Safariland UBL screws, stretchy section means you don’t need to readjust if you sit down or change position. Does have a tendency at least on me for the buckle to migrate towards the back, ymmv

I used this to replace the elastic thigh strap I had from ANR which had become worn out and lost it’s stretchiness to the point that I had to cinch it way down to make it work. I like the nylon construction with the little stretchy relief loop on the Blue Alpha much better. Also, the mini cobra buckle is much less likley to bite my fingers than the giant plastic buckle on my old one. Extra cool points for it being in multicam arid too.
