Picked up both sizes. I’ll probably switch to the longer length since my magazines are extended and Blue Alpha has MCT in those pouches, but both sizes work just fine. Retention without the cord is solid on its own. I added the bungee cord for extra security when I’m moving hard. Patterns are excellent and the fit and craftsmanship are exactly what you expect from Blue Alpha. @a_z_shooting

Excellent pouch. I opted for the addition shock retention as well since I’m not fully sold on friction fit alone. Obviously holds double stack magazines quite well but I was pleased to see that it also holds my single stack 1911 magazines well too. So far I’m pretty impressed with these as well as my the belt, rifle mag pouch, tourniquet holder and medical pouch. Blue Alpha definitely puts out high quality kit that is made well and appears quite durable. BTW, the pistol mag pouch is also a good option for carrying a multi-tool.

These are great. I’m using them for EDC on my regular belt under my shirt. These are comfortable to wear, and have a very minimal footprint compared to the HSGI that I used to use. Much better product.
